Lindenhurst
Located only a few minutes west of the I-94 Tollway, the Village of Lindenhurst offers an ideal residential and business environment. Its neighborhoods incorporate scenic wetland preserves, lakes, rolling hills, woods and over 400 acres of forest preserve. In addition to the 18 sites maintained by the park district, recreational pursuits can be enjoyed at nearby Hastings Lake YMCA, Chain-of-Lakes state Park and Six Flags Great America theme park.
According to the village website, over 90 percent of the residences are owner-occupied, detached, single-family homes. The park district has over 110 acres spread throughout the community and a 25,000 sq. ft. community center with full-size gymnasium, walking/jogging track, dance studio, senior/adult room, preschool, multi-purpose rooms and conference room.
